Bluh

UPDATE 12/7 8am:
Just seeing what would happen, we both sent separate emails to the maker of this crap test. We both said stuff like "we took it" , "doctor 260mg", "this test 156mg", "followed directions", yada yada yada and we both got the exact same response. Except his came to "Dear Mr. Dancho" and mine came to "Ms. Lane".

You will recall the setup from yesterday. Cale & I got on the topic of his cholesterol results. He had just had knee surgery and as part of it he got a blood test. I think the last time I had my blood tested for the cholesterol level was in 1994. It was fine then. But that was a while ago. In a way I guess my thinking was why do it because it could only be a problem if I knew it was, right? That's right, no? Anyway, Cale knew his and I wanted to know mine. I got some home tests at Walgreen's, and we did them today at work. He would be my "control" because I knew the home test would suck as far as results. But we could do some math maybe and get a range of mine.

Thinking that, we begin...

Here are the tests.

Cale reading the instructions. Don't want to screw up their "97%" accuracy. Yeah right.

These below are of us working our pricked fingers to get enough bluh in the device.

Finally!

So now we wait...

And wait... Is something going to happen?!?

It's not doing nuthing.

I think he got bored waiting.

That's mine.

That's his.

So at the doctor a couple days ago his test was 260 mg for his total cholesterol. Yeah, he knows. On this piece of crap today it put his total at 156 mg! 97% accuracy my ass. I was bummed this test showed 100mg less! But I may or may not be bummed that my crap test was just about the same as his. Does that mean mine is really about 260? Or does this crap test ever show more than one result? I don't know what the crap test results show, but I do know I will go and get a real cholesterol test, and maybe more, soon...

"It's not doing nuthing" (great pic). You guys should take a pregnancy test, just to be safe.

This doesn't look very PC to be doing at Aurora now boys, nice. I like the suggestion of a pregnancy test though, just to confirm the cholesterol results.

I would be surprised if these gave any sort of accurate results. You'll have to get a real test and let us know, Ms. Lane.
